More than focussing on Java 1.5 we need to ask Apple to release a server version of the JVM. The current JVM is based on sun client JVM and is therefore limited to 32 bits. The Sun sever JVM does not have that limitation.

I know there has been a lot flying by, but how do I tell Apple they shouldn't wait until tiger is released. There are already eclipse projects that require 1.5 and this list has seen requests by others who don't want to wait. They will have to put it on panther anyways because not everyone is going to switch and their are a lot of companies more concerned about development costs and schedules than core OS upgrades.
