Databse connection keep alive

  • Thread-topic: Databse connection keep alive

I’m currently having a problem with a firewall timing out connections between my WebObjects application and my database server. Is there anyway to have WebObjects do something similar to the keep alive setting in JNDI to force database connections to stay open?

I noticed that the EODatabase class does provide this method handleDroppedConnection() but I was hoping to do a keep alive vs. constantly cleaning up dead connections.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
