[NEWBIE] Need some help getting started with a local dev environment

Hi,

I'm soooo brand new to this-I'm familar with XCode and Java and I'm a Web developer, but I'm really stumped as to how to set up my development environment to test my work. I have a WO project started, and I have Apache set up to serve a local version (under a local name) of the site I'm working on out of ~/Sites. I want to access most of my resources, like stylesheets, images, from the local docroot, but I can't seem to figure out how to deploy the WO app so that I can test it under this configuration. Can anyone spell out the basics or point me to the right source? I can't seem to find the relevant info in the WO docs, nor find what I'm looking for in the list archives (probably just not searching for the right stuff). Thanks to anybody who might take pity on poor me ;-(

John
