Would someone please help me get javamail working? I've read
everything I can find about all of it (which for JMTA is next to
nothing).

Project Wonder includes a wrapper framework for this. You will probably be
a lot happier if you just use that. The JavaMail API is NOT pretty!

Another wrapper to check out is OdaikoJavaMail - if you can find it on the web (their web site appears to have gone down but I do have it if you can't find it). It's a WO Framework which wraps the JavaMail SMTP functionality. The API is pretty simple, worth a look. Might do what you want.
