Pardon for replying to my own post, but I should correct that
statement.  ControllerDidLoadArchive() and controllerWillLoadArchive()
do not appear to be called in my subclass...
connectionWasEstablished() does appear to be called (infinite loop
hangs the app).  Any answers regarding the other questions are still be
greatly appreciated! :-)  (Yes, it has been a loooong day.)
