New WebObjects Users warning:build settings are not for Xcode; we are in a JAM?

I just want to warn new users that they should forget about setting their build settings in Xcode info windows. I couldn't figure out why xcode wasn't building my project correctly. AFTER I pulled out all my hair, I came across this:
Important

You cannot configure build information for Jam-based Project Builder targets or for external targets in an Info window. If you have an existing Project Builder project with a Jam-based target, you can convert your target to use the Xcode native build system to edit build settings or build rules for the target in an inspector or Info window. To edit the build settings for Jam-based and external targets in Xcode, select the target in the Groups & Files list. ...

I had success when I found in /Developer the documentaion for the Project Builder Build Settings; that is what you want, not the xcode build settings. The documentation has all the info on the various parameters which xcode passes to Project Builder, e.g, DSTROOT, BUILT_PRODUCTS_DIR, etc. which can be set by double-clicking  on the target in xcode, then expert view, then enter the jam/project builder parameters.

Can webobject projects be converted to native mode xcode projects?

It can be very misleading, because you may think your webobjects project is using xcode, but that will just put you in a jam.
