Does anybody know if there are plans to update WebObjects for Java (Tiger) 1.5?

Apple does, and all the other people who might know it will not tell you or they rely on rumors. Don't get me wrong: I'm all for the announcement of possible product updates, but unless Apple makes such an announcement, nobody can tell you for sure.

There are a lot of new features in 1.5 that would be very useful, and if there are no plans to upgrade WO then probably we can all presume it will be on end-of-life status?

Maybe we could also assume that it will just continue to work? How do you know it won't? And if it does, there's nothing that keeps you from using generics, auto-boxing and all the other language features you might want to use...

Why does everybody panic when a product does not receive updates every two weeks these days?

Ralph
