I'm really getting tired of these webobjects is dead threads. Apple
uses webobjects! If you see all of apple's site switch to PHP or
something, then get worried. One of my jobs is technical support. The
other day I had a user who installed java 1.5 in windows call me up
because he couldn't use any of the websites required for work. it
seems java 1.5 could not load the applets properly. That tells me that
either the applets were badly written or sun broke their write once,
run anywhere promise again. I'm not looking forward to java 1.5 until
i here positive experiences with it.
it might be possible that apple has put webobjects in hibernation mode
much like AppleWorks. They sell it, bundle it, but they don't bother
to upgrade it. Maybe apple will replace it someday much like pages and
keynote have slowly nudged AppleWorks out of usefulness for some.

Does anybody know if there are plans to update WebObjects for Java
(Tiger) 1.5?
There are a lot of new features in 1.5 that would be very useful, and
if there are no plans to upgrade WO then probably we can all presume
it will be on end-of-life status?
Thanks,
