PDF Printer / Pasteboard Printer

Does anyone know if it's possible to set up a "PDF printer" on a given Mac and then share that over the network (and to windows), such that if you select this printer in Windows it will send the data over the network and print the contents to a PDF file that automatically opens up on the Mac in Preview? I think this would be very useful but I couldn't determine how to set it up (or if it is at all possible).

For that matter, it would be cool to create a "pasteboard" printer that would allow one to print a document on one computer into the pasteboard of another computer. Does anyone know if this is possible (or even useful -- I think it is)?
