Sounds great to me - I hope Apple reads your email and takes this 'prediction' as a 'suggestion'. ;-)

Does anyone envisage 2 WO's in the future?

(a) WO Java -- using Cayenne and being Java all the way to the ground more or less ( with Java-Client option)

and

(b) WO Roots -- a Cocoa-Based, Core Data WO (with OS-X Client option)?

I predict both (foolish you say?) within the next 4 years. I predict only minor bug fixes for WO during the next
say, 1-2 years. I am not investing any serious money on these bets -- its pure speculation -- but I can imagine there
is impetus for both. If I had to guess (a) or (b) four years from now, not both, I would guess (b).

We're using non-direct Java Client, so I'd love to see improved support for this (better integration with Interface Builder, etc.). Also, it would be great to be able to develop native Cocoa programs which use EOF. Currently this is *possible* from what I hear, but not supported or fun to play with.

Our Java based app which runs only on Mac clients is not a very 'mac like' app since it's missing all the freebies that a native Cocoa program gives you.

Hello all -

I just wonder if the now rumored WO 6.0 will also have some nice tight
integrations with CoreData? Sort of a push the cache forward with localized
editing contexts etc., This would allow for Mac centric rich clients along
with JavaClients and good old web clients.

Anyway, to have a little fun here what would you want in WebObjects 6.0?

Personally I want Marketing.

Cheers,
James Cicenia
