Not a particularly funny or appropriate joke if you ask me. Especially given the lack of anything to denote it as such (<sarcasm> tags or something else to that effect). While I don't like particularly discussions of whether or not it's going to continue to be supported (iTMS uses it, and that bodes very well), I don't think that kind of "humor" doesn't work here; it's NOT the equivalent of sending "afaik cocoa is going to move exclusively to BASIC" to the Cocoa Dev list, because if it wasn't for the fact that Apple is still actively using WO, there
would seem to be a large likelihood of it being dropped. Someone who didn't realize that immediately would end up very confused at best, and a newcomer to WO might be turned off to it permanently at worst. I don't mean to be harsh, but think before you joke like that next time.

Hi,
finally i got phone calls asking me if i really think that apple stops developing WO, funny. As email@hidden mentioned
I thought today was April 12 and not April 1st.
it was more or less a joke. I hate this whole discussions about "is it dead" "is it still supported" "is it...???" and that were my 2 ct. If someone is really interested, please read the mail archive, there are already a lot of threads about this question.

Hi,
afaik webobjects will -never- run on tiger, apparently apple has stopped working on webobjects and there are voices that state that they (apple) are migrating their internal applications to asp.net, bad news :-(

Now that Tiger has been officially announced, does anyone know if it will make webobjects crash and burn?

PS: I have WO 5.2, and only one real machine, so I am concerned that if I upgrade, I will be causing horrible things to happen with the site I also work on.
