I would recommend deploying a simple non WO application in JBoss first.
Perhaps you can try a HelloServlet example from one of the many
JSP/servlet books out there.  Get comfortable with a servlet container,
deployment descriptors, WARS, servlet contexts and how things work in a
J2EE environment.  Then, try to tackle deploying your WO application
inside JBoss.  I've got over 3 years experience using WebLogic and JBoss
and it took me more than a few hours to figure out all the hidden
details.  If you get lost, drop me an email and I'll try to help you
out.
