Thanks Guido
I was half-wrong in my modifications
I inserted "
encoding = NSUTF8StringEncoding;" in all my .woo files using Find/Replace..
I forgot that the .html files had to be encoded to.....
so changed back these .woo files to MacRoman enconding, then I did AS STATED by Chuck
usin SAVE AS..... and set the html encoding to UTF-8 in the Save As panel......
too fast too bad ....
but nevertheless error messages are sometimes not very easy to understand..... they should use just on message ERROR !

the component is there... the only thing I changed recently is in my

changing the encoding = NSUTF8StringEncoding;
I did not change anything in the File Templates/Webobjects/
directory.... as stated in Chapter 8 of PWO
is it mandatory to change the component template ?
I don't think so ...
No it's not but WOBuilder may hang on some broken characters now. Perhaps
you should open the package content of the .wo-package in the Finder and
edit the contents first with a normal text editor (or in Eclipse) to correct
these characters.
I had broken umlauts in there last time I've done that.
Have fun!
