Any issues with installing Java 5.0?

I understand that Java 5.0 is not supported with WebObjects 5.3 and I plan to continue to use 1.4, but is it alright to install 5.0 for other Java development. In short, does merely installing 5.0 cause any conflicts with WO? Any one else using WebObjects while also having 5.0 installed?

Any info greatly appreaciated,
