I tried on a deployment machine I setup for this purpose and it works fine on this one (it was a clean install). So the upgrade of 10.3 to 10.4 may have corrupt some part of WebObjects...
Is there anyway to reinstall only WebObjects components on X server?

WO 5.2 installs WO52Uninstall.app into your /Application/Utilities folder. However it requires that you login as root (not simply administrator). I tried it once and it did work successfully. xCode uninstalls with coomandline:
sudo perl /Developer/Tools/uninstall-devtools.pl
P.S. about "setUnicode=true&characterEncoding=UTF-8" in jdbc connector string. It worked without one for the first time, however some time later problems with unicode characters occurred again and they were successfully solved just adding this string back.
