Yes, on further inspection, this was exactly my problem... It's a fairly obvious mistake on my behalf and I should have looked harder at that 'routine change to the connection dictionary.' I guess it shows that value of a good error message.

So, if you are changing the password or something like that, always quote the value. I don't know why EOModeler does not quote everything by default, as not quoting is a variation to the syntactic format, and that is always a bad thing.

I have checked the permissions....
