Relationships Across Multiple Models/Databases?

I made this work once, in a project a while ago. But now, in a new project, we can't seem to create relationships between two models (which model two different data sources). Both of the models are in the project. EOModeler only recognizes the one model when creating a relationship. This should work, according to:
http://developer.apple.com/documentation/WebObjects/UsingEOModeler/ 5WorkingWithRelationships/chapter_5_section_3.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/ TP30001018-DontLinkChapterID_4-TPXREF133

Does anyone know the trick to getting it working?

We're using Xcode 1.5, WO 5.2 on Mac OS X 10.3.

Regards,
Mark
