Hi, all -
I'm writing a WO app that will deliver media files to the user via a
download link. I'm trying to wrap my head around the best way to
provide the file(s) that the user has purchased from the site.
Simply stated, the user purchases the file(s), clicks on a download
link for each file and gets the file downloaded. What I'm trying to
come up with is a way to provide the download link without exposing
the location of the file on my servers. The files will be music/movie
files that are large and I don't want to keep them in the DB, but
rather on another machine in my network that serves as a media
server. The WO App connects to that machine, generates a URL that
intermediates between the user and the media server and the user
happily downloads the file.
Perhaps I'm approaching this the wrong way...if anyone here has done
this before, I would appreciate any and all help!
