Tomcat and WO...jars

  • Subject: Tomcat and WO...jars

When developing a .war or SSD under Tomcat, I want to be mindful of where I put my third-party .jar's. Tomcat likes them in the $CATALINA_HOME/commons/lib locale, wheras WO likes them in other places. According to the folks who work on Tomcat, having duplicate jar's can really cause some problems when deploying servlets with WO.

So, where should I put my .jar files when deploying under tomcat? Are duplicates really that bad? What can cause problems? Any tips?

Thanks,
jeremy
