We deploy all our apps as Servlets and package them as WARs. The biggest
hassle that I have recently discovered is that the WAR files MUST be
unpacked in order for them to run. Usually the servlet container has options
to run the web apps directly from the WAR without unpacking them - the WO
apps seem to require the WARs to be unpacked.
