Hi Mark,
did you compile your apps and frameworks on 10.3 with 5.2.3 or 10.4 with 5.2.4? Do you see that behavior changing with apps compiled with 5.2.4 (after fully cleaning and reindexing)?
Are you using Java graphics stuff (AWT, etc.)? log4j?
Any other changes since the migration to Tiger Server (changed the source code, the Parameters in Java Monitor? Are you trying to run your apps against Java 5 which would be unsupported at this time?)?
I don't know about anything specific, but I'd be very interested in your insights and these things would be on my list to check.

Webobjects started giving a lot of "No Instance Available" messages and the processor is pretty much pegged at 98%. Previously with 10.3 and 5.2.3 it ran at 3 to 7%. I changed the connection time out and that seems to have fixed the No Instance issue, but the CPU seems to be spending most of it's time running syslogd.
If you are looking at upgrading to 10.4 server, you might want to watch out for this. If anyone has solved this issue please let me know.
