Since I don't own a copy of Tiger OS X Server, does anyone know if the WO license key in existing Tiger OS X Server builds already supports 5.3 or is it coming in a later version. What I am asking is whether the WO 5.3 license key already exists or is it coming soon. Also, where does the license key in OS X Server reside?
thanks,
-tom

Nobody on the WO team is committing to a legal answer, but the
consensus from everyone seems to be:

A WO deployment license comes with every copy of OS X Server. WO
will still be in Java. WO will run on any platform. The license key
is not platform locked.

So 1) it is definitely POSSIBLE, 2) it is definitely NOT SUPPORTED,
3) the license key doesn't prohibit it, 3a) we don't have a
completely straight answer if it's legal or not, but the answer
everyone on the team is hinting at without actually saying is
basically Apple doesn't care, 4) not sure i understand your last
question. So plan to buy an OS X Server license for each of your
deployments. As one of the engineers said -- just wrap a server box
in duct tape and tell them not to look inside, but don't throw it
away :)
