What's Faster...servlet deployment(tomcat) or Java Monitor?

Is there any speed advantages or even deployment administration time saved going with a servlet deployment using tomcat versus using Java Monitor?
And I do mean application performance enhancement?
Is it quicker and easier to deploy with tomcat? I have never attempted but would like to give it a shot this next week.
I would just like to hear a bottom line from somebody who really has experienced both deployment options and which one is easier and more seamless to deal with.
Thanks a million to any responses,
Nathan
