The way I have done this in the past is to have one big honkin'
database, and have the concept of a company/organisation to which the
user belongs. Then each entity (eg inventory) that needs to be
specific to a user/organisation has a pointer back to the owner. When
the company user logs in, he only has visibility of the object tree
underneath the company (if you code it right :-)
Splitting a application to look at multiple databases is tricky - you
would pretty much need to build up a complete EOF stack per user
login. even then I bet there would be issues.
