Hola otra vez!
The launch error does not occur if I include
/System/Library/Frameworks/JavaEOCocoa.framework in the project, but
this then prevents the application from being run without WebObjects.
As you had noticed, there are more dependencies inside WO, and in
particular inside EOF. You may try to import ALL frameworks needed
for deploy a Cocoa/EOF app ---which will make you app too heavy---
but at the end (I am not sure on this, but almost) you will find a
framework searching for the WOLicense.
I think that it is easier to install the Deployment package in the
clients.
Does Apple provide any sample projects for an EOF Cocoa application
(that can be deployed without a WebObjects installation) that I could
examine and use as the basis for my project?
As you may know by now, Cocoa/EOF is highly NOT-SUPPORTED; therefore
it is highly BAD-DOCUMENTED... bad news =:(
However, it works, and works VERY NICE... (e.g., an old process of
mine, which took 3 hrs running in parallel in 3 HP-PAs, with NeXTSTEP
---i.e., 9 hrs in a single machine--- now takes only 20 min in my new
dual G5).
Do not give up!
Animo!
Dino
Thanks,
Doug
