- Tiger Quickies: an Overview of some new technologies in 10.4

Specifically, we will present an overview of Dashboard (writing widgets), Automator (writing actions), and Spotlight (overview of writing importers). We might even have some working code by the end of the evening. Please email me suggestions for something that you'd like to see made into a Dashboard Widget or Automator Action. If your suggestion is easy enough before I start working on my demo you might be in for a nice surprise.

Also, we have an open discussion about the other new Tiger technologies (64 bit-ness, Core Image, Core Video, Core Audio, Core Data, etc). So feel free to bring all your questions, but I plan to cover them more in depth in a future meeting.

- WWDC 2005 - a discussion of WWDC 2005 and the publicly announced sessions, and a show of hands of who will be there.

- Depending on time we might have a book review this month from Richard Wolf (thanks Richard). Or, if we run out of then at our next meeting. Also, we're always looking for more volunteers to do O'Rielly book reviews. O'Rielly sent us several books this spring. If you are interested in doing a short book review, please let me know and you can keep the book.

- O'Tooles
We will continue the discussion at our local watering hold Timothy O'Toole's at 622 Fairbanks (2 blocks east of the store).

We also wish to thank the folks who run the theater space at the Apple store for letting us have our meetings there, Steve Lorenz for hosting our listserve, Alex Johnson for hosting our iCal, and Jonathan 'Wolf' Rentzsch for hosting the new and revived CAWUG web site. Thanks all.

Also, if you are working on a project and would like to talk about it briefly / promote it, I think it would be fun for people to hear about other people's projects. Please email me off line and you can talk at a future meeting. Future meetings dates: July 5th, August 2nd.

No Meeting June 7th due to WWDC -- should we have a meeting June 14th (current consensus is no)? or wait until July 5th (looks that way)? This will be discussed at O'Tooles.
