I have upgraded to Tiger and Xcode 2.0 and things are not quite right.
Apps build and run as swiftly as ever, with 'Waiting for
requests..." message in the run log appearing very quickly. The
browser window opens and then sits there with the browser window
seemingly struggling to open the page. It does eventually open the
page correctly. At the bottom of the browser window (Safari) it
initially says "Contacting: powerbook17.local" for ages before
saying Loading "http://......." which again tales ages - it looks
like I am on a poor 32k model line - which if course I am not as
its all local!
Clicking anything that then requires a new page to be loaded again
takes and eternity - like 30 seconds to a minute - and there are no
graphics involved! It also takes this amount of time even if there
is no database involved so it seems like a WO/localhost connection
issue - though I'm just guessing.
It can not be just localhost as requesting a straight html page
from the localhost's Apache (no WO involved) is near instantaneous.
Any suggestions anyone?
Having exactly the same problem with my Mac connected at work (with
local connection to web server + database) but for some reason it's
OK when connected from home (over broadband)
