Yeah, well, welcome to WebObjectsville (aka WebObjectsHell). I still use it
because it's the best thing going, but I've given up on Apple doing anything
to help until they demonstrate otherwise (hoping, but not holding my
breath).
*******
What do you think they're waiting on ?? Can a breed of us developers
get together and just develop the tools ourselves?

*****************
I mean make WOBuilder a
REAL dream of a tool (I mean it IS missing a lot and could be AMAZING) and
improve EOModeler to make the dev tool we all love REALLY rock solid.
******************

I'm
sick of waiting on Apple.... I love working with WebObjects and would love
to make it the tool we know it REALLY could be......

***************

Apple ?? Believe in WebObjects again, please ?? Give it staff and backing
the way you give your production software like Final Cut Pro, wow is that a
DREAM app or what....WO could be the SAME way......We, the developers will
help spread it ALL Over this Earth as the BEST DAMN dev tool.....nobody will
think anything else....... How could they when the see developers like us
developing sophisticated apps in a tenth of the time those other guys are
doing it.

HEAR US FOR ONCE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well people.... this is really sad. What are there about 10 distinct users under this thread? No wonder Apple doesn't care squat about us. Now if there were thousands maybe a slight murmur would be heard by Steve. But alas, there is not. Like one developer stated, WebObjects was responsible for 3 XServes to be bought and actually appreciated too! WebObjects actually gave them confidence to go with Apple hardware too.
I can't believe QTSS is that much more popular than WebObjects.

some of us know what it is actually,

maybe if WebObjects would do Video we could get some Apple representation.

arg, waited badly on MULTICONFERNICING ichat av G4 double processor!!! or g5 !!!???

what do they expect....??

or is a conference somewhere in maui? ;)

We must all be a bunch of sadomasochistic developers obviously.

thats what we are...exact;)

I think there are good sites in japanese but i cant read them.;(

I absolutely agree. This is definitely a mistake on Apple's part, particularly when this bunch is made up by some very faithful developers. Apple really needs to treat the WO developers with some more information, and particularly, it should have been out the day Tiger was released or under the NDA for ADC members who were testing long before. It has been a hang-up for quite some time for me now.

I don't quite understand why the status of WebObjects has to be a big mystery after every major upgrade. I mean, I understand keeping the features of Tiger secret from the competition, but why is it a big secret as to whether or when an update to WebObjects is coming out? It just seems to spread fear, uncertainty and doubt. Why not a message from Apple saying an update to WebObjects will be coming out by X date or in couple of days/weeks, so we don't have to worry about it?

There are various developer related files (used by Xcode) which do not having the correct linkings for WebObjects - right I can't remember them all now (as I gave up) but one examples is...
/Developer/ADC Reference Library/DocInfo.plist

this was the place where i had the permission problems after my xxx installation:-(,

What would be good is if it was properly integrated rather than given a band-aid solution. 'tis all I'm hoping for.
