You can reverse engineer the LDAP schema from an LDAP data source with EOModeler just like you can for a JDBC database. The schema "organizationalPerson" will have most of the user attributes you are looking for. If you are writing this application for multiple environments where there will be potentially different Active Directory servers everything will work fine with the same model as long as the Active Directory schema for the attributes of interest is the same across servers. Since it sounds like you are only interested in basic attributes, it shouldn't be a problem. If you are curious about the AD schema there is a Windows Server Admin tool called "ASDI Edit" that can be used to look at the Active Directory schema on the servers. The Microsoft MSDN web site also has information about the standard AD schema and attributes.

Thank you Albert.

I am at the investigation stage right now. Since my application is hosted I will probably need to use a secure ldap port.

I was wondering if there is a standard EOModel for AD? Wouldn't want a custom EOModel for each implementation as
I will only need the basics, name, email, phone, etc.
