The JDBC 1.1 driver for EOModeler applies to Windows version of EOModeler only.

For WebObjects on OS X, put the latest Connector/J 3.0 jar in /Library/Java/Extensions

For EOModeler adaptor settings....

I have a lot of info here specific to MySQL and WebObjects that might help you:

.... or search Google for "mysql webobjects" and you will find lots of info.

Make sure you are using the latest MySQL JDBC driver. I think you need a
JDBC 1.x driver for EOModeler but you can use a JDBC 2.x driver for
deployment. That driver listed below is from an old distribution of the
mysql jdbc driver.

Using this I get no suitable driver error. Any pointers to how it

How are you calling the driver?

Try calling it this way: org.gjt.mm.mysql.Driver

Even though it calls the same driver as the com I found to fixed
several
issues with the EOModeler.

It's worth a try.

Good luck!

Subject: EOModeler / mySQL problems

Just started looking at web objects and need some help getting
EOModeler to talk to mySql. I have the latest WebObjects and latest
mySql + JDBC driver installed on 10.4.1. When I try to connect to
mySql with 'jdbc:mysql://localhost/<mydatabase>' I get an error
dialog appear that states 'Connection Failure, org/aspect/lang/
Signature' which isn't very helpful! I can access mySql by other
means without any problems.

Anyone know what the issue is?

Thanks
Mark
