Is 5.3.1 actually safe to use, or is it still a work in progress?

I downloaded XCode 2.2 and installed it on a 10.4.3 Server I use for testing and this are my first impressions:
1- Building times seem a little faster than on XCode 2.0
2- Deployed my application without a problem
3- It caught an error on my code although the error message was not as helpful as on 2.0 ("Cannot resolve symbol" / "cannot resolve symbol  : constructor Integer (long)")
4- The application I tested threw an exception on a component but it ran perfectly well on WO 5.2.3: it executed some code that should only be called when a null was passed (and no null was being passed - very weird).
5- The integrated EOModeler is useless.
