For now. One thing that finally occurred to me this morning is that Apple is now free to leverage OS X technologies to extend WebObjects (I'm thinking Java wrappers using native calls into functionality in CoreImage etc. ). If they did that, at least those portions would only run on OS X.

I would really appreciate such 'extensions' even if they work only on mac os x. As long as i still can use the rest (pure java) on other platforms its my decision to use the advanced techniques from Apple or not. This would be a good and nice way to sell more OSX boxes: help wo developers to use the stuff from mac os x, this might also convince customers whereas license agreements are always not so good to convince decision makers.

cheers, David
