Please pardon the most basic beginner question. I've been earching all day and yet to find an answer.

Coming from the .Net world to Java, I am making my foray into Web Services. Of course being a Mac person, I would REALLY like to use Web Objects to develop them.

My question:

To learn with, all I want to do is create a simple 'Hello World' web service. All of the documentation I see with XCode has you start with some kind of database model and create a d2ws application. I don't want or need a database connection for this. Can someone point me or help me with how to create a basic web service WITHOUT a database model?

Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
