You need to start your database which is probably OpenBase for that
tutorial.. Check to make sure the database is started up in OpenBase
Manager found in your Applications folder in a folder called OpenBase.

Hello;
I just can't get WO to execute a query from the sample tutorial in:
Developing WebObjects Applications With Direct to Web
I just installed XCode 2.1 with WebObjects into a Powerbook G4
which is running Tiger_10.4.2;
I followed: "Introduction to WebObjects 5.3 Release Notes"; but did
not
know if to implement Radar #4129134 because this is my personal PB
which I use also as a development machine.
I started the Apple tutorial called : "Developing WebObjects
Applications With Direct to Web"
but got the following error when doing a "Search" :
Application: D2WTutorial
Error: java.lang.IllegalStateException: _obtainOpenChannel --
com.webobjects.eoaccess.EODatabaseContext
com.webobjects.eoaccess.EODatabaseContext@d4b0e9: failed to open
database channel. Check your connection dictionary, and ensure your
database is correctly configured.

com.webobjects.eoaccess.EODatabaseContext
com.webobjects.eoaccess.EODatabaseContext@d4b0e9: failed to open
database channel. Check your connection dictionary, and ensure your

So how do I get to do/use the query DB feature in the sample tutorial:
"Developing WebObjects Applications With Direct to Web"; if it seems
that this sample tutorial cannot access a database?
Sincerely
