Ray,
what exactly do you mean by "generates
a lot of instances from a java-class"?
WebObjects does load balancing by having
several instances of one and the same application running on one or more
servers. Once a user has a session with one instance of the application
s/he will be served by that instance.
Other products use distributed objects
to balance the load. That is not something WebObjects does on its own.
You might want to use Corba or enterprise JavaBeans for that.
You may also partition your business
and have several distinct applications running: client interface, admin
interface, batch computation,,,
