Yes, but I want to do it on a per-project basis. That is the specific issue to address. Each project has a unique package header and I simply want new files within a project to automatically specify the package header.

AFAIK, you just drop them into
~/Library/Application\ Support/Apple/Developer\ Tools/File\ Templates/WebObjects

Examples of default templates, if not there already can be found here:
/Library/Application\ Support/Apple/Developer\ Tools/File\ Templates/WebObjects

Does anyone know how to specify a custom file template for XCode 2.1 on a per-project basis? I tried adding class.java to my project folder hoping it would pick it up, but it didn't work. Is there a mechanism for specifying a custom file template on a per- project basis?

thanks,
