MySQL JDBC Drivers

  • Subject: MySQL JDBC Drivers

Hey all,

I came across a problem and managed to find a solution so I thought I would share it.  I was getting this exceptions:

com.webobjects.jdbcadaptor.JDBCChannel: method failed to delete row in database

It didn't appear to be related to the problems already discussed that can cause this exception.  I tracked it down to a
problem with the newest release of the MySQL jdbc driver.  I don't know what the problem is but I did know that I wasn't
having any problem on a machine with an older version of the driver, and downgrading appeared to solve the problem.
So if you see this exception, check you driver version.  I'm using MySQL version 4.1.13a and the MySQL jdbc driver (available from
their website) version 3.0.17.

Good luck all.

Zac
