The issue was resolved when I updated the Openbase JDBC driver (and set Java back to 1.4.2). Initially, this did not appear to resolve the issue, until I discovered that Openbase was continuing to use the old renamed driver even after restart. I needed to move it to the trash for it to stop using it.
