DID), I don't want to just remake WO Builder, because I fundamentally
disagree with its workflow as a viable tool for component
I undertake some substantial human-facing projects and contrary to
opinion here, I do find WO Builder to be a really fabulous, pragmatic
tool despite its blemishes. I don't particularly need CSS
integration in WO Builder despite using CSS heavily in the end
result. I suppose many of us work in different ways and our apps are
probably slightly differently architectured so these tools may have
differing levels of applicability depending on the way we operate.
I have so say that I wish Apple would put back that QuickTime
overview presentation that they used to have describing both WO
Yes I agree that the QT overview movie was *really* well done and I
often pointed people at it to get an idea of what WebObjects was all
about -- it saved a huge amount of time. It would be good if
maintenance of this basic level of promotion for WO were possible.
So, if you really want to contribute - as opposed to just use or
bitch about - the new Eclipse tool chain, you are..
Fair call; thanks *heaps* to the guys who have worked on this area to
date and if moving to eclipse (wasn't at WWDC) becomes a necessity, I
hope I can find some time to contribute in the future.
