Amazing! It works! To be specific, I went to Set Adaptor Info and entered this:

jdbc:FrontBase://localhost/<My Database>/user=_SYSTEM/schema=_SYSTEM

Now it recognizes that my tables are all already defined.

If I add an attribute to a table, it still generates Create Table statments instead of Alter Table statements. Is there any way to change that?

John

Synchronize schema works for me in FrontBase if I add a key called "schema" to the connection dictionary. the value should be the username you're using to connect (e.g. _SYSTEM).

Does the "synchronize schema" function in EOModeler work with FrontBase?

It always shows all my tables as entities that need to be added to the model. And the "generate sql" function never issues Alter Table statements, just creates the table from scratch.

I'm using WebObjects 5.3 and FrontBase 4.0.

Synchronize schema has *never* worked for me. On any database. Every.

I don't even try anymore.

sniff!
