Hi Owen,

Not a waste of time at all. It illustrates nicely that sometime the bias ppl have against higher level toolkits ("Abstractions *always* are slower") isn't really justified.

In looking over your emails it struck me that your SQL was going inordinately slow. I'm glad you found the problem.
