thanks Art and janine,
I manually deleted the files, removed WO 5.2.4, and
uninstalled Xcode 2.1.
Then, after rebooting, I installed Xcode 2.2
using a custom install with WebObjects selected and that seemed to be
fine.
I then openned an existing project (originally
developed in 5.2.4 Xcode 2.0) and after updating the project as prompted, I ran
it - it worked straight away.
So I'm on the way.
One further question, if I double click on an
".eomodeld" file in the resources section of my project, I get a prompt
that the file cannot be found! If I drag the file and drop it on EOMdeller
(in the dock), it opens as expected. Is this the behaviour you
get?

I then got internal errors trying to run Xcode, so I ran the WO

/Library/WebObjects/
/Library/Receipts/WO524Developer.pkg
Please can
someone
a) confirm that these
should be removed before either installing WO 5.3 or
5.2.4?
I would manually delete them.
b) tell me if you are
successfully running WO5.2.4 with XCode 2.1 (installed afresh on 10.4.3) ;
alternatively,
On one partition, I am running WO 5.2.4
with Xcode 2.0, not 2.1. I can't recall for certain, but Xcode 2.1 may
be tied to WO 5.3.
c) are you running
WO5.3? and are you using the old EOModeller and if so, how did you install
it (assuming 5.2 was removed)?
On another
partition, I'm running WO 5.3.1 with Xcode 2.2. EOModeler is included
with Xcode 2.2 but in a different location:
/Developer/Applications/WebObjects/EOModeler.app rather
than /Developer/Applications/EOModeler.app. I set Finder to open
"eomodeld" file packages with EOModeler rather than with Xcode. This
seems to work fine.
