I am also using shire.net for my clients since over a year now and as far as I can tell they are the only company hosting WO in a shared server environment with entry level pricing and with your own WOJavaMonitor etc. I found that Shire.net is always very helpful and responsive to my questions and they have been particular helpful during the set up phase.

There have been other providers in the past, but they either disappeared or are no longer offering WO in a shared server environment.
There are many WO hosters offering packaged WO hosting on dedicated Linux, Solaris or XServer boxes, and even more offering customised hosting solutions.

As you may know i am currently developping a dynamic website, the first for me, and i am using WO. Meanwhile the development, i am looking for WO hosting services, the only one i found still now who offer good prices (i mean who i can afford) is www.systame.com, does anyone know how reliable they are ?

Don't remember seeing anyone comment on this, but I suggest you contact Chad Liegh at Shire.net. They provide excellent WO hosting services at very reasonable prices. CodeFab has been using them for years for clients who need WO apps hosted but are not prepared to invest in hardware. Of course they can grow with you as you go from a shared system to a dedicated system to a rack full of XServes :-)

(not suggesting anything bad about Systame - I just don't know them at all.)

Definitely a better way to go than doing servelets just to get your app deployed. While servelet deployment works just fine, there are a whole set of issues there and you shouldn't travel that path JUST to solve a hosting issue. Try Shire.net.

(no business interest in Shire - just a happy customer!)
