Lenny's editing context subclass does not solve my problem (I've just
tried it). The described symptoms seem to be different, too (unless
I'm missing something).

Been there! Here is an old message that I have saved. I have not
tested this, instead I have been using another workaround. I won't
publish that unless this one does not work as this fix is far
better than my ugly hack.
