This is a section about tags that seems relevant.

I imagine that this could be used to do what i want, but it seems awfully... complex. (sorry, couldn't help myself :).


The Subversion project folks are convinced they don't need per-file tags, but I haven't seen a substitute yet that wasn't an awful lot harder to use. I keep thinking I must be missing something...
