Hi Zac,

I'm doing a lot of FOP these days. I would recommend you download the FOP install from Apache and try the commandline tools to track down your problem. Then you can call xalan or fop directly with some debugging options enabled.

Are you using 0.20 or are you being brave and using 0.91?

Hey all,

I'm having some problems with Apache's FOP module. I have all the requisite .jar files copied to my /Library/Java/Extensions directory, and the project builds fine. However when I initiate the conversion I see the following:

[ERROR] Unsupported element encountered: null (Namespace: null). Source context: unavailable
[ERROR] Expected XSL-FO (root, page-sequence, etc.), SVG (svg, rect, etc.) or elements from another supported language.

Does anyone know of any online resource where they walk you through the installation and use of the FOP module, preferably in a webobjects environment? Failing that any suggestions?

Thx

Zac
