Has anyone accomplished the goal I am referring to? If so, can you
help shed some light on the process? I assume it involves some kind
of complicated file copy/move scenario?
I guess servlet-based deployment is an option but my understanding is
that it doesn't work with Project Wonder and that's something that we
use extensively. I've not tried to deploy this way due since I heard
that it doesn't work with Wonder - but maybe that's not correct?
I have deployed a Project Wonder D2W app onto Linux using
Single-Servlet Deployment. I had to create a simple SSDD Xcode
project, deploy it, then I deployed my WOLips app into the same
directory structure. I'm pretty sure I had to tweak the web.xml a
little. So it can be done. It's a pretty low-volume site, so I can't
speak to it's stability. I have had to restart Tomcat a few times, but
that could be due to some permissions problems we've had with the
Tomcat installation.
There was a minor problem or two with the Wonder stuff, but Anjo fixed them.
