I don't see that and we use MySQL. Is your adaptor URl something like this:
jdbc:mysql://localhost/MyDB? capitalizeTypeNames=true&zeroDateTimeBehavior=convertToNull

My adaptor URI is:
jdbc:mysql://localhost/test2? zeroDateTimeBehavior=convertToNull&capitalizeTypeNames=true


With driver set to com.mysql.jdbc.Driver ?

Yes

And the Mysql driver (5.1.?) in /Library/Java/Extensions ?

Yes - the file mysql-connector-java-5.1.5-bin.jar is in /Library/Java/ Extensions
