I don't think at launch time that JavaMonitor is doing anything other
than assembling the launch command string from the executable path,
the log path, and various settings that determine launch argument
values. Then it executes this command as appserver. So it's
difficult for me to understand why JavaMonitor can launch an old
version but not the new version of the same app, yet the new version
can be launched from a shell prompt. Maybe it's time for sacrifices
to various gods, the burning of various substances, etc.
