I don't believe that Apple has announced anything definitive in this regard. However, at that time, even if it does work, there might be necessary migration work that would require a similar commitment as Eclipse/WOLips.
If it helps, I converted a pretty significant project with 8 frameworks and about 10 WOApps in 3 days.

We don't have the month or more to figure out and acclimate ourselves to Eclipse/WOLips and painstakingly convert all of our projects and frameworks (which I'm still fighting with). Combine this with the fact that now I'll be editing my HTML and WOD files by hand and we're talking a serious loss of productivity. (and time... and money...)
While EOModeler and WOBuilder have been deprecated, they still work fine!
